Nicholas I. Claspill, aged 36, from Tecumseh, tragically lost his life in the early hours of Thursday, May 8, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle near Rossville, Kansas.
Authorities confirmed his identity following the fatal incident.
According to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a collision involving a northbound Ford F-150 pickup truck on NW Carlson Road.
Claspill, who was on the roadway at the time, was struck and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was wearing a seatbelt and remained uninjured. Officials confirmed the driver is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation into the incident.
As the investigation continues, the circumstances surrounding the accident are still under review.
The loss has left the community in mourning, with many expressing their condolences and memories on social media.
